At Choli, we build tools for creative expression first—and we know your personal data, original images, and artwork deserve the highest level of protection. This privacy policy outlines exactly how we handle (and mostly don't handle) your information when you use our advanced visual effects editor, so you can focus on making stunning luminous particle art without worrying about your privacy.
No account, no personal information signup required to access every core Choli feature. You can open the tool and start creating immediately, no strings attached.
🔒 What Data We (Almost Never) Collect
We designed Choli to run as much processing as possible locally on your device, to minimize any data leaving your system entirely:
- All image uploads, particle flow generation, custom vector field adjustments, fluid dynamics simulations, and final artwork exports happen 100% on your own device. We never automatically upload your original images, work-in-progress edits, or finished creations to our servers.
- We do not ask for, store, or track any personal identifiable information including your name, phone number, address, or contact details as part of core app usage.
Your creative process stays entirely yours, with no hidden monitoring of your work.
📩 When We Do Receive Information From You
There are only two voluntary scenarios where we may receive information directly from you:
- You reach out to our support team via email to report bugs, request features, or ask for help: We will only retain your email address and the content of your message for the sole purpose of responding to your request. We will never share this information with third parties, nor use your contact details to send unsolicited marketing messages. You can request we delete all your correspondence records at any time.
- You voluntarily submit your finished Choli artwork to our public showcase or community gallery: You may choose to share your artwork, a display name, and optional social media links for public feature. These submissions are only stored with your explicit consent, and you can request we remove your submission from our platforms at any time.
📊 Anonymous Usage Data
To help us improve Choli performance and build better features for all creators, we may collect fully anonymized, non-identifiable usage data, including:
- App crash logs and performance metrics to fix technical issues
- Aggregated, anonymous data about which features are used most frequently to prioritize development updates
- General device and operating system information to optimize compatibility
This data can never be linked back to you as an individual, and is only used to make Choli better for everyone.
🤝 Your Control Over Your Data
You retain full rights to any information you may choose to share with us:
You can contact us at any time to request access to any personal data we may hold related to you, request corrections to inaccurate information, or request full deletion of all your records. We will respond to all valid, reasonable requests within 15 business days at no cost to you.
🔄 Policy Updates
We may occasionally update this privacy policy as we add new features to Choli or adjust our operational practices. Minor updates will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. For significant changes that impact how we handle your information, we will provide advance notice within the Choli app at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of Choli after any policy update comes into effect indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
